If you want to enjoy a fabulous Aveyronnais meal, visit L’Auberge Aveyronnaise. It is located in the east of Paris, in the Bercy area. This is where, up until the 1960s, Parisian wine merchants used to gather. Today, this neighborhood is the center of the Federation of the Aveyronnais of Paris omnipresents in Parisian bistros and cafés for the past 150 years. The organization’s headquarters are here, and at the foot of their building you’ll find a welcoming spot: L’Auberge Aveyronnaise.

Here, you will appreciate the warm hospitality of the team. L’Auberge Aveyronnaise is one of the best places to savor traditional Aveyronnais cuisine. The restaurant is charming, resembling the great hall of a castle with its large pillars and huge stone walls.

But at L’Auberge Aveyronnaise, the real spectacle is also on the plates. All the products are sourced directly from Aveyron. The starters showcase some of the finest offerings from this marvelous region. For example, you’ll have a hard time choosing between the Laguiole trout rillettes and the sausages and ham served on a board. As for the main courses, the menu naturally features aligot.

One of the others iconic dishes of the restaurant it the stuffed cabbage.
    The service of aligot.

This iconic dish from the Aveyron and Cantal regions consists of mashed potatoes mixed with cheese, specifically “tome,” which originates from Lagiole in the Aubrac region (Aveyron). Aligot is typically served with sausage. but also includes special dishes like the famous boudin aux pommes (blood sausage with apple) — a classic of authentic French gastronomy. When it comes to wine, you’ll find a wide selection from all the vineyards of Aveyron, including Marcillac, Estaing, and Entraygues.
